Velvet Matte Lipstick in Damask Rose

Nude lipsticks are my beauty weakness - I must have endless variations of shades and finishes. The newest to my collection is the Velvet Matte Lipstick in Damask Rose from Green People

It's fast become my go-to daily lipstick; it's the perfect shade of peachy pink that really favours my colouring, and due to it's unique consistency - it stays put for hours. It's got quite a waxy feel (that'll be the sustainable beeswax) which is initially odd, but it keeps the pigment gripped to the lips for impressive longevity. And they haven't sacrificed their 'look good, do good' philosophy to achieve a matte finish (which are renowned for being drying); the Velvet Matte Lipstick is enriched with lovely natural ingredients which keep lips soft and smooth.

Green People are the organic beauty aficionados, and so of course their Velvet Matte Lipstick is 100% natural and cruelty-free. Honestly - I tend to overlook natural beauty brands when I'm after something 'on trend', and will instead turn to the big commercial brands, but Green People have really pulled it out of the bag with this one. They've nailed the perfect, universally flattering shade of nude, and created a long-lasting matte finish lipstick, that's also enriched with vitamin E to care for and nourish the lips. Their swatch test just goes to prove how this lipstick holds it's own against the fashion focussed brands; it's pretty much a direct dupe of MAC's 'Kinda Sexy' and NYX's 'Stockholm'.

WANT ONE?

The bad news - is that you'll have to wait, just for a little while. The Velvet Matte Lipstick in Damask Rose officially launches on the 4th April for £15, and is available to pre-order on Tuesday 28th March. So set a reminder in your calendar because...

The good news - is that you can save 15% with the discount code NUDEOBSESSION (valid until 31st April).
